That means it's reunion time! We are planning one via the LUMS BSc 1999 Alumni group on Facebook so join in on the discussion and hope to see you in Lahore.

Abdul Mannan Abbasi is working in London with Riskmetrics. Her future plans include breaking barriers and promoting love and tolerance for humanity at large. If she's ever lucky enough, the only person she'll run over with her Ferrari will be Razal.

Sameer Mohammad Anees recently left the Royal Dutch Shell Group in London and is now a Dubai-based strategy consultant with Arthur D. Little. Happily married to Neda Mulji with a soon to be three year old daughter Alesha (pronounced Ali-Sha), he continues to love the sound of his own voice and offend people with his strong views on just about every topic under the sun. He is proud of the fact that his waist line is exactly the same as it was in college. In fact, nothing much has changed except that his hair just a little greyer in certain places and his attitude just just a little tamer than it used to be.

Samir Zahid is married and back in Australia with his wife Saira.

Sarah Fatima Zaka is working as a development economist and consultant in Lahore. There is still no desi girl in his life (please note the "desi" part of that last sentence).

Shazia Farooq Rahim is in Karachi.

Shayan Mehdi Zaidi has continued to maintain his position at the top of BSc '99ers Most Eligible Bachelors list -- all those wild pictures on his Facebook profile do tell tales, after all. Still based in Chicago, he has racked up a few million miles travelling coast-to-coast within the continental United States while working on various projects. His current goal in life is to acquire double platinum status with all the major US airlines before they go bankrupt or shut down their operations altogether. The best place to catch him is at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport.

Syed Mustafa Bilal is in Seattle and is also working for Microsoft. He got married in December 2007.

Syed Salman Zaidi is on the trading floor at Deutsche in Singapore. WAM has developed software solutions used by 4500+ companies in 90 countries in 18 languages. Umair is happily married and has 2 beautiful babies: Abdullah (3.5 years old and currently undergoing cancer treatment at SickKids hospital in Toronto for stage 4 neuroblastoma -- may Allah cure him completely and give him a long, healthy and blessed life in this world; please pray for him) and Aayan (2 years old). www.umairjalil.com

Usman Waheed is working as a Brand Manager at Nestle for Children Health & Nutrition (Nestle NIDO). We were all dressed up as 'jamadaars' when we invaded Professor Ijlal Shah's office. Adnan Bhutta quietly picked up his wallet that lay on his desk. With all sincerity, we then negotiated among ourselves on how much we should take from his wallet as a 'donation' to our class. We believe the deal was struck in a very fair environment as we slid out the 'big notes'. Our impeccable character as a class was highlighted when we honorably returned a somewhat lighter wallet back to him. I remember that he was truly thankful and felt that the whole process was at least transparent. Finally, crazy Runaas poured a bucket full of water on Dr. Riaz, bringing the festivities to a dramatic end. Those were the days :). Oh Well, that was a trip down nostalgia lane, let's come back to the realities of life and how/what all of us are doing.

Adeel Meer Saheeb a.k.a Jon, has been bestowed with a new nick name in the ghettos of New York(Jersey City). He is now known as 'Fidvi' as in 'aap ka fidvi'. The latest excitement in his life is 'Poker'. Now this is what happens in the absence of a wife, a care taker or a girlfriend in US. All his married friends in NY and NJ seek refuge at his bachelor pad every friday for a poker night and the winner gets all...i.e. a six pack of diet coke! Oh by the way he is doing very well professionally in case you wonder.

Adnan Bhutta and Naira just had a very cute baby son whom they named Mikhail. Adnan is still working at Microsoft. Nowdays, he is also working hard to resolve the 'sood' issue in the light of Sharia.

Adil Paracha got the British Chevening Scholarship in 2003 and left a very successful marketing career at Reckitt Benckiser Pakistan to complete an MBA in Marketing in the UK. He has now been working there for the last 3 years and recently joined Kimberly Clark Europe as European Brand Manager on their bath tissue business. He is a proud father of a boy and 2 girls.

Ahmed Hamidani keeps himself busy at CSFB Singapore's sales & trading desk. He may have moved from London to Singapore but his burning ambition remains the same: to find himself a girl and settle down.

Alefia Lotia and hubby (Huzaifa) are happily living in Huntingdon, PA. A stay-at-home mom for 2.5 yr old Zainab (jumping jack) and a business partner with her husband, Alefia is happily enjoying the summer of '07.

Aliya Salahuddin has been actively involved in media in Pakistan and was behind 'George ka Pakistan'. She is currently studying media in London.

Amanullah Jiffrey Kariapper, after spending a couple of years in Grenoble (France), is back in Lahore and back at Strategic Systems International (SSI).

Ambreen Iqbal Malik is pursuing an exciting career at World Bank and is now happily to be married in December '07. We wish you the best of the best!

Ameel Zia Khan quit his job at PDGF to pursue an MBA on a scholarship. Now that is something you never hear of: a scholarship for an MBA and that too from Melbourne Business School! Way to go Ameel.

Aqib Elahi Mehboob is "making things happen" at AKD Securities, a very well reputed capital markets firm in Pakistan as its Director of International Sales. He juggles three time zones, a wife, and two kids in an attempt to balance the forex deficit (which results from Pakistanis' propensity to import) by marketing Pakistani equities to foreign portfolio investors. His waistline is ever-increasing despite valiant efforts to curtail it.

Ashab Naeem Iqbal graduated from Columbia business school and is working at American Express, London. He recently got engaged and is planning to get married over the summer.

Asif Amjad was last seen at Saudi Hollandi Bank (ABN Amro) in Riyadh setting up their equity desk.

Asim Memon and his wife are living the CS Luminite dream: working for Microsoft...together!

Babar Ghias is rocking in New York City with even sharper basketball skills.

Faisal Wasey got married and is loving it.

Faisal Wahab is helping his father with his business and has expanded it into the retail side as well. He is currently looking after cosmetics and hair care products imported from North America. It seems that an MBA from LUMS is paying off as he has learnt how to balance things...for instance, compensating a receding hairline by growing a beard.

Farooq Mustafa Alavi moved back to Karachi from Dubai and is working like a dog at Standard Chartered in Karachi.

Fatima Ashraf is living in Houston, Texas with her husband (Irfan), son (Ahmed), and daughter (Sophia). She's a blissful stay-at-home mom much to the chagrin of everyone in the family.

Fatima Muzaffar is living in london. She has a boy Mikaeel which sure is a popular name among the 99ers!

Feroze Gulzar is busy playing polo while runs his family business on the side (i.e. whenever he manages to find the time away from polo).

Fuad Ghazanfar has moved on from selling oil at Shell to selling milk at Nestle. As evidence of his loyalty he no longer buys doodh from the corner shop ! He got married last year to Sana from BSc 2004. The MBA fan that he is, he has convinced his wife now to get an MBA from LUMS.

Hasan Muzaffar is living in Dubai and is happily married to Marukh. Hasan is working for McKinsey and is always complaining about the travelling but, at the same time, has become a miles-junkie

Hassan Ali continues to stalk Adnan Bhutta (as he has from class 1) and the inevitable happened when he also joined Microsoft. He is now a core member of the "Microsoft clan" and continues to delight the crowd with his well developed culinary skills.

Hina Khar is working as Pakistan's Minister of State for Economic Affairs, mainly dealing with multi/bi lateral agencies. We wish her success in the upcoming elections!! Also, all those in Pakistan, pls do vote and excercise your "democratic" right. Mushee Zindabad!

Imran Ahmed has decided to kiss IT/Computer Science good bye and has taken up a role as a Sales Planning Analyst with the handsets division at Motorola Middle East. Currently enrolled in the evening MBA program with University of Strathclyde his mission these days is to convince people Dubai is a hell hole and they need to go somewhere else. Still single and under tremendous pressure to get the issue sorted out.

Junaid Bin Jahangir will most probably be working with his long time mentor Dr. Bashir Khan at FC University. Currently, he assists a human rights activist and works behind the scenes on issues related to the LGBT. He hopes to adopt an orphaned child someday.

Khawaja Bashir continues to live in Dubai but has left Emirates Airline to join Emitac Mobile Solutions (Blackberry Channel Partners in MENA region) as a Project Manager. Bashir and Sana were blessed with a baby girl early this year and are having loads of fun with the little one.

Kiran Nanjiani is working in Karachi at AAJ TV as a Programming Manager. The 'George ka Pakistan' that Aliya Salahuddin produced is the George that Kiran is married to and the two are looking to moving to the UK shortly.

Maha Ahmed, after a successful career at the World Bank and the UN, has decided to pursue an academic life and is working towards her PhD in Holland.

Mahira Daha recently got married to Fareed Zaffar and both are enjoying marital bliss in Defence, Lahore.

Makhmoor-ul-Hassan is working with Shell in London as a Financial consultant for Global Mergers and acquistions.

Marium Naeem is currently in London where she is working with Shell as a management consultant. She can usually be found in various European cities as she continues to clock air miles. And yes: Sameer, Makhmoor, and Marium form the BSc '99 power triangle in Shell London.

Mariyam Mansur has a beautiful little girl. She is working in Microsoft with her hubby Asim.
